Methodology: In order to meet the required standards and improve its quality, the quality manager has planned to run a Statistical Process Control Analysis. A Statistical process control involves a random sampling of the output of the process which determines whether the process is meeting the quality standards or not. For the above purpose, the quality manager has randomly collected data on samples of three steel rods daily. The quality manager collected two types of data The diameter of the selected steel rods was measured and recorded in centimeters over a 25 day period. The number of surface errors in the selected steel rods was calculated and recorded over a 25 day period. Results: Types of Data: There are two different types of data given to us in this scenario. The first data is concerned with the diameters of the selected steel rods. As we know that diameter is a continuous variables and it can take any value therefore we will use an x chart as a Statistical process control chart to monitor the process. The Life of Alexander the Great Essay At the age of twenty years old, Alexanders reign of the Macedonian throne began in 336 B.C. following the death of his father, Philip II. Olympias, Alexanders mom, was thought to have assassinated her own husband so that the throne would be prepared for her son. When Alexander became King, he wanted to do great things so that everyone would know that he is King. From the beginning of his reign, he always had a passion for fighting and winning wars. He also noticed that he had many enemies and conspirators and to immediately get them out of the way, he had them all executed. In 335 B.C. he destroyed Thebes, located in upper Egypt, for rebelling against him. In the following year, Alexander had the most amazing military campaign by guiding an army consisting of Greeks and Macedonians fighting against the Persian empire with the goal of taking revenge on Greece in order top fulfill his fathers dream. Throughout his lifetime, he accomplished many things, had incredible defeats, and conquered many countries. By this, he earned his title of the great and was most excellently admired for it. His people saw him as an outstanding motivator, leading men into dangerous, unknown regions, earning much respect and inspiring countless soldiers. Alexander didnt much care about his own safety yet placed all of his concern straight on the goal and the ways in which he would complete it. When in battle, he would like to show his equality between him and his soldiers by riding his war horse on the enemys front line, experiencing the same risks and threats as they were. People started urging him to get married and have a child to carry on his great title but he was too busy with his conquests. He had much hope and faith in his troops and thought out his plans well for only the greatest of successes. He was the ideal of male Greek culture. (pg. 130) Seen as a great hero, he helped his troops along to continuous triumphs. When visiting Gordion in Anatolia, he was given the opportunity to be rewarded the lordship of Asia if only he could make loose an unmoving knot binding the yoke of a chariot. Leaving everyone in awe, he sliced the tough knot with a quick slice of his sword. His never failing most high reputation  among the people never failed and the empire continued to grow. He kept a very close eye on the latest technology and techniques in order to keep up with his war successes. Alexanders unique fighting styles made enemies doubt themselves and their abilities to stand strong against him. He always had his plans all laid out and precise and after conquering Egypt and Persia, his strategy showed to be this : establish colonies of Greeks and Macedonians in conquered territory and keep the traditional administrative system in place. (pg. 131) Alexander began his journey of the founding of new cities by naming the first Alexandria after himself, located in Egypt. His maintaining passion for capture and exploration ruled so greatly in his life that his next goal would be to travel to India. Alexandria the Furthest was established on the way and he ended up settling for an alliance sealed by a marriage to the Bactrian princess Roxanne. (pg. 131) Voyaging into India, seventy days of marching through stormy weather led to the disappearance of the soldiers will to win. In 326 B.C., located on the banks of the Hyphasis River, they forced Alexander to turn back. Finally returning back to Persia, he started on the plans of his next attack without delay. His next target would be the Arabian peninsula followed by all of North Africa. Ruling over the Greeks became less important to him and he decided to restore citizenship within the city-states and he made the declaration that he wanted to be honored as if he were a god. Feeling astonished by this peculiar request, the other leaders complied by sending religious gifts showing their respect. Alexander thought so highly of himself because of all of his great and praiseworthy actions , that he started to believe that he was actually the son of Zeus. He felt that he showed to have godlike power therefore he must be as he proclaims he is. On the somber day of June 10, 323 B.C. , the young Alexander passed away due to extreme drinking and high fever. His future plans were ended by his sudden death not too long after the death of his best friend, Hephaistion . Following Alexanders death, a child was born to him and Roxanne. Despite his short reign, he greatly impacted and benefited the future for geography and many other scientific fields. Altogether, Alexander III immensely  extended the influence of Greek civilization and arranged the way for the empire of the Hellenistic period and the annexation of the Roman Empire.

â€Å"She Walks in Beauty† Explication â€Å"She Walks in Beauty† Explication By embracing the concept of self-expression, the poet, Lord Byron, has brought together the use of imagination and deep emotion in order to show his admiration towards a woman of beauty. She walks in Beauty is a love poem in which the poet illustrates the physical beauties of such a woman and compares her qualities to the forces of light and darkness. Throughout the poem, the poet accentuates all aspects of her beauty in order to make it seem as if she were the perfect woman. In the first two lines of the first stanza, â€Å"She walks in beauty, like the night / Of cloudless climes and starry skies,† (line 2) the poet brings together the contrasting qualities of darkness and light. The poet presents an extended metaphor by constantly comparing the lady to the beauty of night and day. There are many examples of assonance shown in the first few lines such as the words like, night, climes, skies, bright, eyes, and light. The next two lines address the ladys actual face and eyes as well as her interior beauty which has the same qualities as the light. These descriptions enable the readers to paint a vivid picture of this ladys beauty and her ability to make everything bright even during the night. The next stanza emphasizes the ladys inner and outer beauty as well as the purity of her face. One shade the more, one ray the less, / Had half impaird the nameless grace / which waves in every raven tress, / Or softly lightens oer her face; (lines 7-10). The poet uses opposite words, shade and ray, as another way of relating to the ideas of dark and light. He also employs metaphors such as waves of raven tress to depict her hair. This is also an example of a consonance as the consonant â€Å"v† is repeated, which makes the poem sound smoother. With his words, the poet makes it easier for the reader to picture what such a woman would look like, and how her face would be as light as day while her hair is a as dark as night. The poet also utilizes alliteration by paying more attention to her mind, and repeating the ‘s sound because it gives a calming effect in the way he expresses the womans thoughts. Where thoughts serenely sweet express / How pure, how dear their dwellin g place(lines 11-12). This portrayal accentuates not the womans body, but rather, her mind. The third stanza carries on by describing more of the ladys physical beauty and character. â€Å"So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,† (line 13) symbolizes the womans goodness and the peace within her. A mind at peace will all below,(line 17) reveals the womans innocence and optimism towards everything. All of these character traits come together to describe an ideal woman-one who is gentle, loving, and beautiful. Although the reader might see some conflicting characteristics in the description, this woman is portrayed as a flawless person. Through the comparisons of darkness and light, it is implied that these features create an ideal balance. The rhyme scheme is A B A B A; C D C D C D; E F E F E F. This poem starts with an enjambment, so the first line continues on to the next. Also, the meter changes in the next line. This element and enjambment used together accentuate specific words. An example of this is shown in the fourth line where the word meet is pointed out, because it is the foundation of the poem. It supports the idea that darkness and light are both present in her qualities and the way that the poet describes her. All and all, She walks in Beauty by Lord Byron is a romantic poem that gives the insight of a mans feelings and the depictions of a womans inner and outer beauty.

I will tell you about three of the most powerful communist countries of the twentieth century. Communism is a theory that states that society should own all property. There should be no private ownership and labor is organized so that all members of society will benefit. Communism is based on the theories of Karl Marx and writing, â€Å"The Communist Manifesto.† The start of communism in the Soviet Union took place in October of 1917. At this time V. I. Lenin seized power. Lenin made many changes such as the New Economic Policy or NEP. This made most of the industry in the Soviet Union property of the people. This meant that most of the means of production was governmentally owned. Lenin and his new form of government achieved great things in the Soviet Union such as the end of civil war against the Czarist military system. One key but not very much liked rule, in communism, was the censorship and subordination of interest groups such as trade unions was enforced so that the new governments policies would be accepted. Todays World

The Income Break The income inequality is just the difference in the salaries of the different class of people and/or jobs. In The Rise of the Creative Class, Richard Florida takes a look at wages all across the U. S in order to compare and contrast wages. He does a breakdown of the 3 classes that he talks about earlier in the book and from there compare the wages. In one chart that is displayed he shows that Connecticut has the highest income but then he has another graph that shows otherwise. I don’t believe this could be halted because people of different jobs feel as if they deserve different levels of pay, which I do agree to.In recent research I found that many people fall outside of the Creative Class because of their education levels or because of the performance they are willing to do at a job. So the people who are at a disadvantage are the working poor because they are mainly in a field where they have to do labor. Because our society is at a state of changing each and every day, I believe it is rather hard to stay in this field of creativity, unless you are willing to change careers or add on to your challenges in the work field.Economists are researching the things that are changing in our world and the biggest thing is technology. Because technology is changing at a constant rate, it makes it hard for someone who is not able to be in the Creative Class. New things are evolving everyday and some jobs are not going to be needed in the future. Men and women could work the same job, but the man may get a better pay because of his gender. This brings me to the Five Faces of Oppression where they talk about the division in gender and how men get treated better than women.Women are dominant in the work field for minorities today. But compared to men who are working the pay is still very low. In previous chapters of The Rise of the Creative Class Florida shows a graph that show the pay of a woman compared to one of a man. Also the graph showed pay of minority compared to the majority. The differences amazed me only because I thought as a society we were getting equal and fair, but the graph and other research showed otherwise.
